In the recently concluded India vs. Australia series, twenty-three-year-old Ravi Bishnoi emerged as star spinner. He not only won the hearts of crores of cricket fans but was also awarded the player of the series title. He took nine wickets in the tournament with an average of 18.2. He maintained the second-best blowing average in the tournament.
Australian skipper Matthew Wade accepted that facing Bishnoi even on batting-friendly tracks was not an easy job.
“Bishnoi, obviously, has been great throughout the four games. He has been quite hard to get a hold of. Some of our guys with less experience will learn a lot from facing him,” said Wade.
Ravi Bishnoi, as a spinner, showed his qualities in bowling. In addition to the IPL stats, with this performance, he has attracted the attention of selectors for the upcoming T20 World Cup and made available the third option as spinner.
