India vs. Australia, 2nd ODI, 2023

India scored 399 runs for the loss of five wickets in today’s second one-day international, in India vs. Australia, against Australia at Indore’s Holker Cricket Stadium, setting a new record for the country versus Australia.

It should be noted here that Australia chose to field first after winning the toss. Rituraj Gaikwad was caught by Carey off a decent-length delivery from Hezlewood, and India lost their first wicket rather quickly at 16 runs in the fourth over of their innings.

Subhuman Gill and Shreyas Iyer’s 200-run partnerships lay the groundwork for a larger total for India. Rahul, Ishan Kishan, and Mr. 360 Degree finished the job for the middle order. Surya Kumar Yadav scored 72 runs of 37 balls, which includes 6sixes and 6 fours. SKY’s inning helped India to reach a record-breaking total of 399/5.

If we talk about Shreyas Iyer performance so far in ODI, he made total 642 runs at average of 58.36 runs and maintained a strike rate of 97.71. The total 11 innings are as follows:
9(27), 88(70) , 65(63), 54(57), 63(71), 44(34), 80(76), 49(59), 82(102), 3(8), 105(90).
