India’s Chandrayan mission has been at the forefront of India’s space exploration program for over a decade and over time edition of the same being increased. After the successful Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 missions, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is gearing up for the highly sophisticated Chandrayan Mission 3. This mission represents another significant step, in capability and efficiency in science & technology for India’s space program and promises to unveil even more exciting discoveries about the Moon.

Exploring the Unknown thru Chandrayan Mission 3


The primary goal of Chandrayan Mission 3 is to continue the exploration and scientific study of the Moon thru composite Chandrayan 3 spacecraft, which is consist of propulsion, Lander a,nd rover. Building on the accomplishments of its predecessors, this mission aims to gather crucial with the help of propulsion, Lander, and Rover carried by Chandrayan 3 spacecraft and will help in our understanding of the Moon’s Geology, Mineralogy and Exosphere.

Enhanced Capabilities and Instruments:

Chandrayaan-2 was known for its impressive suite of scientific instruments, including the Terrain Mapping Camera, the Imaging Infrared Spectrometer, and the Dual Frequency Synthetic Aperture Radar. With Chandrayan Mission 3, ISRO to enhance these capabilities further. The mission will include improved instruments and upgraded technology to collect high-resolution images, study lunar topography, and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Moon’s composition. In In

Launch Vehicle Mark III with Chandrayan 3

Propulsion module which includes Spector-Polarimetry of Habitable Earth (SHAPE) is to study the Spectral and polarimetric study of Earth from lunar orbit. Lander payload to study thermal conductivity and temperature and seismicity etc. Rover payload has a very significant and has the capabilities to derive the elemental compositions in the visionary of landing site with help of x-ray spectrometer and Laser induced brake down spectroscopy.
